A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Phil is a licensed architect and an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and the Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers.
Phil’s work has consistently focused on healthcare design, driven by a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes and strengthening the communities these facilities serve. His portfolio includes both new construction and renovations for major healthcare systems, encompassing medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, advanced imaging centers, emergency departments, operating suites, and pharmacies. His work has been recognized with the Best Healthcare Building award from the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE).
Phil’s passion for architecture began early, influenced by his father, a residential general contractor. He spent much of his childhood on construction sites, gaining a practical understanding of the building process that continues to inform his work today. This early exposure, combined with formal training in drafting during his school years, shaped his belief that a strong foundation in construction knowledge is essential to success in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
Outside of his professional work, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is also an avid golfer and values the balance that family life and time on the course bring to his busy career.
